NOVEMBER 16 2014 NEW SERVER, NEW LAYER OF ATTACK PREVENTION FROM DDoS ATTACK
All Falcorweb CMS users---On Tuesday, Nov. 11, our server came under DDoS attack and was "null routed" but the hosting company
to prevent the attack from spreading throughout their server clusters. All sites, and email, were down for several days.
When all attempts
to migitage the attack failed, I was forced to move everyone to a new server (and a new hosting company), as well as put in place a layer of protection from
future attacks of this kind (our DNS records now are hosted by Cloudflare.com).
The process of bringing back websites and emails has taken several days and involved much reconfiguring.
The CMS is up and running, but may have issues with some features and functions.
***IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY ERRORS WITH THE CMS***, please cut-and-paste the error message,
and make note of the page that displayed it, and send to me at email@example.com.
Hopefully everything is working smoothly, but if not, let me know so I can fix it. Thanks for your patience while we recover from this malicious, albeit
random, attack on our server.
